Pryde comes before a fall...

Just saw both Juno and Iron Man and loved them both. Not that that has anything to do with anything. :P

It does suck when you love an actor but really don't like anything they're working on or seem to be interested in -- like when Kiss did those terrible solo albums. That was a long year for us Kiss fans, boy.

I think I'm a lucky one in the sense that I don't scope out movies based on who is in them. I definitely have favorite actors and I'm always thrilled to see them show up in trailers that look intriguing, but cast is seldom a primary factor. One of the best (read: funniest) movies I've seen recently -- Death at a Funeral -- had as its biggest star the guy who played Wash in Firefly. Meanwhile fantastic actors like Samuel L. Jackson do super-stinkers like Snakes on a Plane. I guess we can just be happy that an actor isn't defined by any one movie (in most cases). I quite liked Ellen Page in Juno; I'd love to see more of her, even if it means more spandex.

Well, not that this has any (okay, maybe a little) bearing on my Shadowcat-related demands, but in the film she didn't wear spandex... she wore shiny, shiny black leather!

You are right, of course. And I knew that, too. Guess I was hurrying along to much with that comment.
I wasn't trying to be a smart-arse... it just seemed like a good excuse to go Googling! :)
